Starting and Restarting with God!

Lord! I'm Starting With You!

Lord! I'm Back! I'm Restarting With You

By

Pastor Leonard Roy Harris

"Your  Personal Encounter with Jesus! "

"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalms 34:8

You have turned from your sins and from your own control and have received the risen living Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Master and Boss! It is time for you to meet him and surrender your life to him and build your personal relationship with him. Jesus paid for your sins because they were placed on him when he hung on his cross. When his blood was shed it paid off your sin debt. His blood also was the price he paid to purchase your life.

"19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20

You do not belong to yourself anymore, you belong to Jesus. Since you belong to Jesus he will take care of you better than you can take care of yourself. He will give you everything that he has for you if you ask him in repentance and faith. Jesus will show you how to unpack and experience everything that is a part of your new, abundant, eternal life. Jesus brought that life with him when you invited him into your life as your new boss.

Jesus right now is working very hard to help you to be everything that he wants you to be: to have everything that he wants you to have; and to do everything that he wants you to do. "6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6

Surrender the Title of Your Life and Every Area of Your Life Over to Jesus!

When you buy a car you do not own it until you have the title. Once you have the title, you own the car, it is yours! Once you have paid the full price of the car the bank or finance company has to “surrender the title” because “the price has been paid!” Jesus paid the price for your life! Now you must surrender the title of your life to Jesus! Once you do that, you will encounter and experience Jesus!

Surrendering the title of your life is a process. It is a process of proof. You confessed that Jesus was your Lord right? So now you must prove that you were honest and sincere and told the truth. You do this by surrendering the areas of your life to Jesus when he comes to lay claim to them.14For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Jesus Wants to Lay Claim to Your Spirit. Cooperate with Him as He Takes Ownership! Be “IN” Christ! When you asked Jesus to come into your life he came to live in your spirit. From there he wants to take ownership of your spirit. Yield your spirit to Jesus and cooperate with him as he begins to take ownership of your life. One meaning of in Christ is: “in cooperation with him“ in your spirit. It means being of one spirit with Jesus! It means agreeing with Jesus as he works to take the things of your old life away and bring the things of your new life in. “17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Sacrifice Your Broken Spirit and Broken Heart to Jesus

“17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalms 51:17

If you are strong spirited, he wants to gently break your spirit so that you will yield to his Spirit and rest in him and cooperate with him as he gently takes ownership of your mind, your heart, your will your body and your roles, relationships and responsibilities. Jesus wants to do this to give you rest for your soul. He wants to gently and humbly teach you about your new life in Him. He wants to tenderly place the yoke of your responsibilities as a child of God the Father on you and he will pull his side of the yoke and you will pull yours. “28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

From your spirit, Jesus wants to take loving and gentle ownership of your mind with its thoughts and attitudes; your heart with its feelings and emotions and your will with its habits and decisions. As Jesus gets more and more control of your mind, heart and will he then wants to take ownership of your body with its appetites and desires and your relationships and roles and your responsibilities.

Jesus Rose from the Dead to Reveal Himself to You so that You Can Encounter and Experience Him and His Life and His Full Inheritance for You and His Full Purpose for You!

Romans 6:3-14 “3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 5If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. "6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. 8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. 11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."

1 Peter 3:18 18For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,"

Jesus also rose from the dead to bring you back to God as your Father and to live in your life to make you like him and to be with you so that he can lead you, guide you, protect you and deliver you. He wants to heal your body, solve your problems, resolve your dilemmas relieve you stresses and bring peace and calmness and healing to your inner hurts. He wants to reveal his plan, purpose, program, power, promises and path to you.

Are You Ready?

It Is Time for You to Taste and See That the Lord is Good!

It is Time for You to Meet Your Risen, Living Lord Jesus Christ in Your Life,

In Your Situation, In Your Dilemma, in Your Struggle!

It is time for you to unpack the new life that you have in Christ by asking him to meet a specific need in your life right now! Give him a chance to manifest himself as your living Lord right now!

Below, write out the specific request that you believe the Lord wants you to ask him. As you write it out look back at it and keep working with it until you are satisfied that it is the deep prayer request of your heart! Keep in mind. It must be a prayer request that only God can answer so that when it is answered you will know without a doubt that it was God who answered it in Jesus name. Be as specific as you can so that God your Father can answer it specifically, in Jesus name!

God your Father in the name of your risen Lord Jesus Christ wants to and can and will answer your prayer. He loves you and wants to show you that he is a loving Father who can meet every need that you have! I would suggest that you work on your request on scratch paper until you come up with the final request. Once you have it then write it in below. My Personal Prayer Request to You God My Father! Date: Steps in Approaching God to Present Your Personal Prayer Request.

1. Confess and forsake any sin you are practicing right now.

2. Turn your focus off of the situation and off of yourself and focus on Jesus and visualize him in control of the situation.

3. Build up your faith in Jesus by reading the following bible verses:

 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22

 “13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:13-14

 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. John 15:7

 24Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:24

 “6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

 12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." 1 Peter 3:12

 14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15 4.

4.Take your hands off of the situation and surrender it to Jesus and his control.

5. Turn to God as your Father and worship and praise him and lift him up.

God’s Answer to My Prayer Request

Once You Have Tasted that the Lord is Good to You Come to Him as a Living Stone

So that You Can Be Used by Him to Build His Living Building, the Church!

1 Peter 2:1-10 1Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. The Living Stone and a Chosen People 4As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."[ 7Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone 8and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall”They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. 9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."

Always remember what it says in James 1: 5-8 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

If you lack wisdom, or whatever the need is, you can ask God and he will generously meet that need without finding fault. When you ask you must believe and not doubt. If you doubt, you will become like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD IF YOU KEEP WAVERING BETWEEN FAITH AND DOUBT! You will always be unstable in what you do! Now You Can Go On to Part Two in this Start-Up and Re-Start Booklet! As You Wait on God Your Father to Answer Your Request!
