You move within a natural circle of influence. In this circle are your friends, relatives, associates and neighbors. The Lord has uniquely designed you to reach some within this circle for Him. This is your Jerusalem.
The places where you live, work, visit and frequent. Your neighborhood, your job, your school. Your family reunions and various family events. The streets and areas that you frequent. The shopping malls, stores and shops etc. The gas station, convenience store, video store etc.
Cultivate relationships in your "Jerusalem" Plant the seeds of the gospel into those relationships, reap a soul for Jesus when he says he is ready to draw them through you.
Remember 2 Corinthians 5:18 " All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." This ministry of reconciliation is based on God's work in your natural circle of influence. You see, according to 2 Corinthians 5:19 God is reconciling your world to himself in Christ...and he has committed to you the ministry of reconciliation in your world.
You are Christ's ambassador as though God was making his appeal through you. You are imploring those in your circle of influence, your world, your "Jerusalem" to be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
It is not optional for us to yield ourselves to the Lord to be used by Him in our world, it is a heavy responsibility. We will have to give an account to the Lord for the stewardship of our time and talents. Did we spend our time on ourselves and our own agenda? Did we turn after our own things and not the things of Christ?
The Lord did not give us the gift of free will so that we would operate in our own will, no, he gave us the gift of free will that we might yield it to his will and in his power do his will.
God's agenda is the reconcilation of the world back to himself through Jesus Christ by the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom and the building of that kingdom through discipleship.
